I’ve been at Baillie Gifford for nearly 15 years, primarily focused on storage and virtualisation in our infrastructure team. For the last 3 years my remit has been as a lead architect in the Research & Evaluations team, my role is to investigate, evaluate and architect solutions to improve infrastructure and the direct user experience of IT as a whole. I am also a founding member and leader of the Scottish VMware User Group.

George Tunnicliffe likes a challenge. With a people centred and personal approach, he has worked in IT across different sectors such as defence, charities, healthcare and civil engineering. Entering the IT industry from a design and catering background which has evolved into some different people centred approaches to tackling objectives.

An advocate for diverse teams and passionate about building the individual, he has focussed on teamwork and empowering those individuals to learn and overcome the challenges a modern IT team faces. As well as making sure good humour and friendly personalities are always present to make IT a positive place, he works to ensure IT is a welcoming team for the organisation to work with and to help build a partnership with the business.

Working with his teams George has delivered cloud migrations, rapid expansions and organising IT delivery. Outside the office George keeps it interesting with a keen interest in performance arts as well as by wakeboarding, indoor skydiving, flowboarding, kayaking and anything else that doesn't involve a computer!

Rogelio brings a combined experience of 20 years on the IT Industry working with clients from the Energy, Financial, Retail, Broadcasting, Transport, Telecommunication, Legal and Education Sector.

Working at large organisations such as Shell and Accenture, Rogelio has managed end-to-end delivery of numerous complex projects, many having to adhere to strict regulatory frameworks.

Having joined Sungard AS at the end of 2016, Rogelio is a key member of its Cyber Resilience and Data Governance Consulting team, working with businesses to ensure they are fully prepared for the impact of GDPR.

Tom Arbuthnot is a specialist Unified Communications Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Master and MVP, with a number of years’ experience in the field working with many companies across different verticals on global UC projects.

He spent 5 years working for a Cisco UC specialist, before moving to Modality Systems to focus on the Microsoft UC offering. He has been involved in all aspects of UC projects from presales, scoping and design, through to deployment, support and user adoption.

He is heavily involved in the UC community, regularly blogging at tomtalks.uk , co-running the Microsoft UC User Group London (mucugl.co.uk ) and speaking at many user groups and global events such as Microsoft Lync Conference, TechEd and Ignite. He is a contributing author to Microsoft Lync Server 2013 Unleashed, and a regular on the popular The UC Architects podcast .
